Jen & Gareth were married in June 2018… at the absolutely stunning wedding venue Slaughters Manor House in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. The day was hot, one of the many fine summer days we had last year - but we all knew it would be roasting as Gareth is RAF… and the full uniform was to be worn… and of course it’s not the coolest of items to wear…! But as expected the boys looked amazing, as did Jen! She had her hair tied back with french plaits and real cream roses to finish the look… flat shoes were the envy of most of the guests as Jen walked about the wedding venue all comfortable and the dress was so pretty with lots of detail around the neck line…
Being RAF, Gareth had tried for months to find out if they could get a fly past… and it was just down to if they were in the area at the right time and if the weather was good… by mid week, everyone knew the weather was going to be fine… but could they get the fly past for all the guests? Luckily enough… the Queen had decided that she was to have her birthday bash on the same day, and had organised the planes to do a fly past Buckingham Palace… how nice of her, right!? The boys watched the Queens birthday parade on the telly as the got ready!
At 1pm the planes flew over London and then the C-17 Globemaster III came straight to Gloucestershire to do two fly pasts for Jen & Gareth before their wedding ceremony! It was an experience to see the massive aircraft above, probably THE biggest plane I have ever seen…!
Jen & Gareth laughed the entire way through their ceremony - which I love! All the nerves and excitement… it’s going to show somehow and there’s no better way than giggles and laughter!
Lower Slaughter Manor wedding venue has an amazing front lawn where reception drinks were had games were played… enjoying the sunshine, everyone was having a blast and then at 3.30pm two helicopters flew over to finish the fly past!
Speeches and Wedding breakfast were had in the beautiful restaurant, while the band set up their things in one of the upper rooms for the party later on in the evening!
Thank you so much to Jen & Gareth for having me on their wedding day! It was such a gorgeous day and I had a wonderful time! Lots of love Sam x
