I met Verity & David at a wedding fair, which was actually being held at Avoncroft Museum itself! When they talked about their wedding plans, I knew I just had to photograph it for them! The simple things like getting ready together in the morning, ceremony in the woods and not doing a ‘traditional’' first dance had me excited from the word go! So I was super thrilled when I got the email saying that they wanted to book! Yay!
So June arrived and I couldn’t wait for their big day to be here! I was so happy the weather was good for them too… outdoor weddings can be slightly difficult in the rain! Happy days!
I had the awesome Nikki Cooper second shooting for me! She’s bloody ace and did loads of running around for me!
During the ceremony, everyone sat on wooden benches and watched Verity & David say their vows…a couple of friends sang and another gave a reading… kids played on the park which was directly next door!
Avoncroft is a wonderful wedding venue… I absolutely LOVE shooting there… loads to do and see and super fab for portraits too! After the meal, everyone jumped on the mini trains and then I took Verity and David off for some portraits.
Being into cycling, the whole wedding had a bit of a bike theme, so they jumped on their bikes and had a cycle around the museum! It was fab! I’ll let you guess what their non-traditional first dance was like… but if you can’t guess… you’ll find out during this post! Just keep scrolling!
I hope you’ll enjoy looking through the mass of photos I have put in this blog post! Thanks so much for coming to visit!
Lots of love Sam x
